57687865.cmsHYDERABAD: Apollo Tyres has joined the club of companies setting up units in Chittoor district.

The Andhra Pradesh government has issued an order allotting 266 acres in Chinapanduru village, Varadaiahpalem mandal at a cost of Rs 11 lakh per acre. The tyre manufacturing unit will also be given incentives.

The company will invest about Rs 4,000 crore in three phases to generate 14,000 direct and indirect jobs. In the first phase, the company will invest about Rs 525 crore with a potential to create employment for 450 people.

The company will be given 100% reimbursement on stamp duty, transfer duty and mortgage duty.

The unit will also get uninterrupted power supply for full load of 40 MW. The government has also agreed to reimburse training cost of Rs 90,000 for manpower (6 months).

The unit will also benefit from reimbursement of 100% of gross VAT/CST for a period of 30 years.

In addition, the irrigation department has agreed to supply water from the Telugu Ganga project and allow the tyre company to tap groundwater during construction period. The industries department will see that online approvals will be given within 15 days under single window policy from the date of submission.

Hyderabad, March 20:  

Zynergy Solar Products & Services has outlined its move to set up a ₹520 crore solar module and solar cell manufacturing unit in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh.

The Industries and Commerce Department of Andhra Pradesh has extended several benefits to Zynergy, a subsidiary of Alectrona Energy of Chennai. The project entails a ₹110 crore module unit and ₹410 crore cell manufacturing unit.

This is part of the ₹3,970 crore three phase project the company has proposed to the Andhra Pradesh.

Following a meeting of the State Investment Promotion Board chaired by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, it was decided to extend several concessions as per the AP Electronic Policy 2014-2020. As per the policy, the company will get 100 per cent reimbursement of stamp duty, transfer duty and registration fee paid on sale and lease deeds, capital subsidy of 10 per cent of total investment of ₹5 crore, 100 per cent tax reimbursement of VAT/CST for a period of 10 years subject to a maximum of 100 per cent of fixed capital investment.

The government has also decided to offer power cost reimbursement of ₹1 per unit for five years for a capacity between 250 MW and 500 MW of cells and modules, ₹1.25 per unit for five years for capacity between 500 MW to one giga watt of cells and modules and ₹1.5 per unit for five years for capacity of one giga watt of cells and modules. The State government is seeking to attract solar module manufacturers and wind energy equipment makers to the State. This is part of the efforts to boost renewable energy portfolio to about 9 GW by 2019-2020.

Thermax lays foundation stone for new plant in Sri City

Hyderabad, March 16:  

Thermax Ltd has performed groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday marking the beginning of construction of its production unit in Sri City.

According to Ashish Vaishnav, Global Head, Cooling Business of Thermax, the plant is expected to be commissioned by March 2018.

The plant will be built on a 40 acre plot in the Domestic Tariff Zone in Sri City with an investment of Rs 150 crore.

The plant will produce chillers for large scale air conditioning units, steam generators, and boilers etc. The company expects to provide employment opportunity for about 200 persons.

The Pune-based engineering company, Thermax specialises in energy and environment systems. Established in 1967, it offers integrated innovative solutions in the areas of heating, cooling, power, water and waste management, air pollution control and chemicals.

Thermax has manufacturing facilities in India, China and Europe.

Hatsun Agro Products (HAPL), is in the process of investing ₹240 crore in 2017-18 to set up two greenfield projects and an additonal ₹160 crore to expand its facilities.

 

According to the plan, the owners of popular brands such as Arun ice creams, Arokya milk, Ibaco ice cream and Hatsun curd, will be investing ₹110 crore in marketing, ₹25 crore for expanding its cattle feed plant and ₹25 crore for the manufacture of dairy ingredients.

 

The greenfield projects are expected to be set up near Coimbatore and Ongole: the cattle feed plant near Ongole and the dairy ingredients unit at Palakode. The investments will be met through internal accruals, it is learnt.

HYperloop has prepared five feasibility studies in four states — Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharashtra and Odisha — and is looking at executing these projects on a public-private-partnership basis.

 

Gresta met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday to put forward his company’s idea. “We want the government to put in a little investment and we would put the remaining for execution of such contracts,” Gresta said.

Like the aqua food park being set up at Tundurru in Bhimavaram, the government has a plan for Nellore where a mega food park at Kothapatnam. The state government has allotted 52 acres of land to the Hyderabad based Nekkanti Mega Food Park Private Limited which would process aqua and agro-based products at the park. The plant is close to the Bay of Bengal.

 

The park has been cleared under the scheme promoted by the Andhra Pradesh Food Processing Society, which invited investments for food processing infrastructure in the state for setting up mega food parks, integrated mega food parks, cold chains, food processing and collection centers with the financial assistance of the state government.

The state government had identified Nellore and Prakasam districts as potential for aqua-based units for promoting related parks in these districts, No-objection is provided from the local panchayat for taking up the plant and they completed ground-breaking ceremony also.

AP: List of Industries Setup Post Division Released

 

AP has fought for special status in the beginning of separation to ease the development of the newly formed state but due to the insensitive nature of the center state had to agree for the special package. And the issue surfaced again with the silent protest at RK beach which got the opposition support too. The government has been blamed for not bringing investments and investing time and money in building the capital city Amaravati and neglecting the rest of the state. To put an end to these allegations, the government released the list of Industries that has been introduced in the state after the division. The report said that 42% of them are under land allotment, few under construction and a few are ready for operation. Here is the list of industries, constituency wise with investment details.
