swarnandhra Posted August 25, 2017 Share Posted August 25, 2017 even 100 TMC storage is a long stretch considering the cost/cases involved in R&R unless equations change at center in 2019 (only if central govt depends on our MPs support). looks like 60 TMC is the max we can store without any controversies. Right now we are getting water from sileru whenever it's needed. And now there is left canal too. On top of it you need to save some more water until next season (June) - especially for Godavari delta. I'm not expecting any thing from krishna. Even if it's there it will be directed to seema and sagar right canal. Only varadalu vasthe tappa no water to sagar down stream. Ippude vunna paristhithullo krishna Water ekkada store chesukolem. Canals ni extend/divert chesthe inkonni mandals in Guntur district can be covered, befor new dam is planned. Prakasam & West Godavari lo kooda 1L acres ki benefit vundi. Not less any means. chaala projects 5-10K acre ayacut kosam kadathaaru compare it with 1L acres in a district.
