In 2008or 2009 lo exact year gurthuledu 150+ tmc per day washed into sea

Godavari is aggressive every year even last year lo 50+ tmc water went into sea

Max flood is 300+ tmc/day in 1986

Even today 8700+ cusecs inflow una only river in south india is godavari(data is from cm dashboard)

50 lakh cuesecs anukunta kadha bro

That may be correct...Inflow projection kept on changing...in 2007 they showed 40 as 1000 years max... and later central experts increased it....Even in CAG report of 2009 they slammed wrong measurement...

Rajahmundry: Following severe criticism from Opposition parties and experts on enhancement of coffer dam height to plus 41 metres from the proposed plus 31 metres, who believe that the move was aimed to delay the construction of the earth-cum-rock-fill dam of Polavaram irrigation project, the state government has clarified that it was the Design Review Committee (DRC) which enhanced the dam’s height so as to withstand high floods in the Godavari river.

Coffer dam is a kind of temporary structure constructed across the Godavari river to stop the water flow to construct earth-cum-rock-fill dam of the Polavaram project. Though the coffer dam was initially planned at a height of plus 31 metres to check nearly 25 lakh cusecs of water in the river, the Design Review Committee consisting of experts from Central Water Commission and other agencies enhanced its height to plus 41 metres to enable it to withstand pressure of nearly 28 lakh cusecs of water in the river. DRC had carried out a series of studies and even studied model coffer dams before arriving at the decision to enhance its height.

Water resources authorities say that a spillway with 48 gates is also being constructed. If the river witnesses heavy inflow of water, they will open the gates and allow the water to flow to ensure that the coffer dam is not washed away.

In case the inflow of water into the river is on expected lines, they will open two gates and allow nearly 11,000 cusecs of water into the spillway and from there the water will flow by gravity into the Polavaram Right Ma-in Canal to supply water to its command area and allow the water to flow fu-rther even to the Krishna delta, based on need.

Polavaram project superintending engineer V.S. Ramesh Babu said, “The DRC has taken the decision to enhance the height of the coffer dam to sustain water inflow into the river of up to 28,000 cusecs of water. If the height of the dam is not enhanced and there is heavy inflow of water into the river during rainy season, we have to stop construction of the earth-cum-rock-fill dam and this will further delay completion of execution of the project.”

Retired irrigation engineer K. Haranath said, “Construction of coffer dam to stop inflow of wa-ter in the river for constr-uction of earth-cum-ro-ck-fill dam is a common phenomenon. But in case of unprecedented flood in the river, no coffer dam can withstand it.”

1600tmc cumulative for that particulate flood period anedi frequent gaa jarugutaane vuntadi yearly once ala

after 5 days of this  another flood period with 1200 TMC released from dawaleswaram in 7/8 days

I know that brother i said 1 day lo 1600 tmc flood radu ani cheppa in 1 week or 10 days that flow is seen every year.

Even it is 200 tmc/day also it goes into sea by making surrounding areas submerged into water and water goes into sea automatically.

1 week lo 1200tmc vachina sare godavari surrounding areas will be drowned and water is going into sea.

Main thing is if water levels are more the polavaram works will gets stopped automatically.

coffer dam unte minimum water levels maintain cheyochu and  give water to both the canals.

But gates needs to be fitted and if water levels are more it is automatically send out of dam

Till whole dam is completed we need to look into inflows and outflows main ga monitor cheyali leka pothe we can't construct dam

1953 it was more then 1000TMC

in that year it peaked about 70000 TMC per day

in 1953 max flood was 1037 - 1128 TMC/day (depending on the source, 340000 - 370000 cumecs).

70000 TMC a day???????????????

with that much water entire India will be flooded 2 feet deep and entire Brazil 9 inch deep (assuming flat surface).

nice video swas bro. I don't understand why no media is highlighting the work progress being made in polavaram. We only see a single paragraph article every Tuesday with statements from CBN in his Monday review meeting. Jaggadu melukuva vunna time motham abbaddalatho cover chesthuntadu. I wish one day CBN challenges him for an open debate and rapes him in front of public.

CBN should ask EG & WG MLAs to daily monitor Polavaram work apart from his review. He can give that responsibility to 2-3 Senior MLAs in both districts. They will also feel involved & take Polavaram project benefits to people.
